Gold Coast Pipes & Drums
Amazing tradition
Certain occasions call for spectacle.  Having a full complement of Highland pipers and drummers march into your event—in full traditional regalia—to the soaring strains of Scotland The Brave,  Amazing Grace or other highland classics is sure to get your guests to sit up and take notice!

When the Spaniards first came to California, they noted the golden grassy hills along the coast and named this area the Gold Coast.  But the Spaniards weren’t the only people to emigrate to the Golden State and as America grew, so did the immigrant population from around the world.  Enter the Scottish, who brought along their own unique cultural traditions—including the inimitable sounds of bagpipes and drums.

Those traditions live on today in the Gold Coast Pipe Band, a group of award winning pipers from throughout Southern California who came together in 1999 to form the West Coast’s preeminent highland ensemble.  The band has appeared at hundreds of occasions, including the wedding of Sandra Bullock and Jesse James, commencements, St. Patrick's Day celebrations, birthday and anniversary parties, golf tournaments, military, fire and police functions, as well as funerals, fund raisers, parades, car shows and civic affairs.  The band recently surprised "Cheers" star John Ratzenberger on his 60th birthday.  Gold Coast Pipe Band members have appeared on TV, Radio and movie soundtracks.
